Legend holds that Galingka was first constructed as a lodging place for British wool merchants traveling between Tibet and India for their commercial endeavors. Due to its prime position amid the Himalayan terrains, its strategic positioning made it an ideal spot for weary travellers in search of respite from their journeys. Over time, however, it became witness to history's crossroads, silently documenting past events.
