Next, head to Namo Ghat and learn about an ancient civilization that once thrived in the lap of the Ganga. Afterward, make sure to stop by the legendary educational institute, the Banaras Hindu University (BHU), which stands as an epicentre of knowledge and tradition! Within BHU, you must explore the Bharat Kala Bhawan, where you will see a mesmerising array of paintings, sculptures, costumes, and various artefacts that echo tales of India's past.

From the realm of knowledge, visit Dashashwamedh Ghat where you’ll come upon one of the most magnificent and mesmerising sights in Varanasi – the Ganga Aarti! Begin your second day with a delicious local breakfast of crispy kachori with fresh sabzi, then make your way to the most famous temple of Varanasi, the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. This sacred site is devoted to Lord Shiva and is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas (the holiest of Shiva temples) that enthralls you with its intricate golden dome and distinctive spire.

Shop at the vibrant bazaar nearby, then stop for lunch. Then head to Tulsi Manas Mandir, where you can gaze at the stunning paintings of Lord Ram, Mother Sita, Lakshman, and Lord Hanuman, along with an extensive collection of Ramayana manuscripts and artefacts. Your next stop should be the Sankat Mochan Temple. As playful monkeys swing about, immerse yourself in the priests' narration of Lord Hanuman's courage. Visit the Durga Temple next, which is characterised by its splendid red spire, and is dedicated to Goddess Durga, who is believed to be the guardian of Varanasi.

This sanctuary is home to several species such as Black Duck, Cheetal, Sambar, Porcupine, Nilgai, Indian Gazelle, and more. As you explore further, you will come across the Vindhyachal range grasslands, ancient caves, and the majestic waterfalls of Devdari and Rajdari. There is also an indigenous tribal community. Spend an evening with them celebrating their traditional dances and music, where each rhythm and melody unfolds a rich tapestry of their tales and traditions.

If you have not had your fill of wildlife, head next to the Kaimoor Wildlife Sanctuary. Situated within the Kaimoor Range of the Vindhya Mountain, this haven is filled with rich flora and fauna, ancient wonders, and breathtaking waterfalls. After some animal spotting you can take in the panoramic views of its lush valleys.
