Begin your exploration by visiting a fascinating and historically significant place. Chatham Saw Mill is the perfect choice. It's only 11 km from Sri Vijaya Puram and is open for visitors from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM. This place witnessed events during World War II and has a rich historical significance. The sawmill is located on a tiny island connected to Sri Vijaya Puram by a bridge and features a museum showcasing the region's timber wealth.

While you're in the area, make sure to check out the Samudrika Naval Marine Museum, managed by the Indian Navy. It's a fantastic place to learn about the maritime ecosystem. You can also visit Sagarika – Cottage Industries Emporium, which exhibits beautiful artefacts made of mother of pearl, sea shells, and coconut shells.

If you're a fan of marine life, don't miss the Samudrika Naval Marine Museum, located opposite Andaman Teal House. The museum houses a vast collection of cells, corals, and a variety of colourful fishes from the sea around the islands. It's an inviting and enriching experience for anyone interested in the wonders of the sea.

Head to the Anthropological Museum in Sri Vijaya Puram, which was established in the year 1975-76, is an ethnographic museum. It features exhibits on the four Negrito tribes of the Andaman Islands, namely the Jarawas, Sentinelese, Great Andamanese, and the Onges, as well as two Mongoloid tribes of the Nicobar Islands, namely the Nicobarese and the Shompens.

Visit the Fisheries Museum to discover the rich marine life of the region. Explore the various exhibits and learn about the diverse underwater world through interactive displays and informative presentations. Then, head to the Science Centre and immerse yourself in the interactive exhibits. Engage in hands-on activities and experiments that showcase the wonders of science and technology.

Afterwards, spend a relaxing time at Corbyn's Cove beach, where you can swim, sunbathe, and enjoy the beautiful coastal scenery. Take advantage of the excellent amenities available, and don't miss the opportunity to explore the nearby historical sites. Next, step back in time with a visit to the Cellular Jail. Explore the galleries and learn about the stories of the freedom fighters who were imprisoned there. Visit the library to delve deeper into the historical significance of the site, and be sure to catch the captivating Sound and Light Show to bring the tales to life.

Start your day with a visit to the Rangat Bay Jetty, also known as Nimbutala Jetty. Rangat is a 1070 sq. km. large island in Middle Andaman with pristine beaches, waterfalls, and interesting islands. The island is spread across 75 census villages and 14 gram panchayats. The population is primarily made up of people from Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Fisheries and cultivation are the two primary occupations of people on this island.

Rangat's harbour is known as the Yerrata Jetty, located 14 km from Rangat Bay. It's an excellent place to examine and study a wide range of mangroves. As part of an effort to raise awareness about mangroves among the general public and tourists, the Department of Environment and Forests has established a Mangrove Interpretation Centre, which features informative display panels showcasing the numerous species of mangroves found on these islands.

After exploring Chidiyatappu, make your way to the Zoological Survey of India Museum, where you can marvel at a fascinating display of sponges, corals, butterflies, and centipedes.

And if you're up for some adventure, head over to Mundapahar Beach and Trek route. This eco-friendly beach destination offers facilities like changing rooms, all taken care of by the forest department. The 1.5-kilometer trek through the lush green canopy forest provides awe-inspiring panoramic views of the surrounding islands, making it a must-do activity in South Andaman.
