This temple takes you on a journey of traditional legend where Lord Jagannath and his siblings form a divine trio worshipped gloriously. Behold the spiritual aura that inculcates a deep sense of tranquillity and divinity in the hearts of devotees when they enter the temple.

Every year The Rath Yatra carrying the divine trio heads to the nearby temple, the Gundicha Temple. it is said to be the temple of their aunt where the trio of Gods travel for a visit. Lord Jagannath with brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra reside in the temple for a few days which is another traditional tale as a part of revered legend. The tranquil surroundings and green lush front gardens have placed the temple as a timeless abode of heaven.

Following the rise of the new day, proceed towards the Konark Sun Temple which embodies the divine grandeur dedicated to the Sun God. This architectural marvel is an ancient masterpiece that recounts the era long past with its carvings and inscriptions. Commissioned in the 13th century in the reign of the Ganga Dynasty, the name is derived from the solar Ark of the Corner (kona), depicting the indomitable majesty of the sun. The intricacy of the carvings presents a timeless tale with divinity that transcends time.

Next is a place that is immersed in holiness with the belief of taking a purification dip in sacred waters. Narendra Pokhari is a body of water enclosed by varying shrines and believed to be a place for sacred ablutions for attaining solace. Pilgrims from around the world embark on the journey to Puri to seek the Lord’s blessings and shed any harmful aura through a dip in the sacred tank. This is believed to have been created by Lord Indra for his son due to a tragic tale of love and devotion.
