The park was inaugurated in the year 1994 by the Chief Minister of Andra Pradesh, N.T Rama Rao. The park has the colourful flowers dancing in the breeze, sound of chirping of birds and green trees reaching the sky. Not only this, the place offers you the learning of the rich culture of Telangana. Right in the heart of the park you will find the statue of Buddha standing in the middle of the Sagar Lake and if you look closer then you will spot another special statue- the Telangana Talli. This statue is a symbol of the spirit of Telangana and its people that reminds the stories and traditions that makes this place unique.

One of the most popular attractions of Lumbini Park is boating on Hussain Sagar Lake. A variety of boat types are available, including motorboats, speed boats, pedal boats, and water scooters. Another option is to travel by ferry to the Buddha statue in the centre of the lake, where you can marvel at its magnificence and beauty. Enjoying the picturesque views of the lake and its environs while boating is highly recommended. The boating timings are 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM Monday through Friday and 9:00 AM-9:30 PM on Saturdays and Sundays.

Another highlight of this place includes the laser show that takes place at 7:15 PM every evening, the amazing display of lights, music, and water captivates the audience. The fifteen-minute show uses vibrant graphics and animations to highlight Hyderabad's history and culture. You can watch this show for just a nominal fee.

If you are a music lover then you will definitely enjoy the musical fountain which is a synchronised display of water jets that dance to the tunes of various songs from different languages and genres.
