Lumbini park is a beautiful blend of nature and culture. The park got its name from Lumbini, the birth place of Lord Buddha in Nepal signifying the place as an essence of peace and enlightenment.
The park was inaugurated in the year 1994 by the Chief Minister of Andra Pradesh, N.T Rama Rao. The park has the colourful flowers dancing in the breeze, sound of chirping of birds and green trees reaching the sky. Not only this, the place offers you the learning of the rich culture of Telangana. Right in the heart of the park you will find the statue of Buddha standing in the middle of the Sagar Lake and if you look closer then you will spot another special statue- the Telangana Talli. This statue is a symbol of the spirit of Telangana and its people that reminds the stories and traditions that makes this place unique.
