Witness the architectural grandeur
The Monsoon Palace stands as an impressive testament to architectural splendour. Crafted with white marble, its white turrets, splendid central courtyard, intricate stairway, luxurious rooms and exquisite floral & leaf carvings adorning the marble pillars captivate you the minute you step in.
But the real treasure lies outside the palace. As you wander through the courtyards, climb the watchtowers for unparalleled vistas and marvel at the architectural details. As sundown approaches, its light illuminates the Fateh Sagar Lake below, making this an idyllic spot for unwinding while taking in beautiful city views from above!
A different destiny
The Monsoon Palace boasts fascinating narratives that add depth and dimension. Maharana Sajjan Singh, the 72nd ruler of the Mewar dynasty, created this nine-storey astronomical centre as a part of his visionary plans to monitor monsoon clouds. Legend even suggests that the Maharana built it at the top of the hill to get a view of his ancestral home, Chittorgarh. Even though his time as the ruler of Udaipur was short-lived, his architectural legacy stands the test of time.
