Located within the sprawling walls of the Chittorgarh Fort, Rani Padmini Garden is a testament to grace and valour. Designed by Maharaja Sajjan Singh, this enchanting garden invites visitors to explore its rich past and captivating beauty. Dotted with colourful flowers, a large reservoir tank, well-landscaped gardens, and ornate gateways, this garden is truly a visual treat.
Padmini’s Palace stands gracefully beside a large lotus pool. Its three-storeyed white structure exemplifies the Rajput architectural style. Delicate carvings, open pavilions and a central courtyard surrounded by water bodies create an ethereal ambience.

The architecture of Padmini’s Palace bears traces of the Jal Mahal in Jaipur. The white outer walls, the lotus pool, and the serene setting evoke a sense of timeless elegance.
Legend weaves a tale of intrigue around this palace. As Rani Padmini sat in the lake pavilion, Alauddin Khilji, smitten by her beauty, glimpsed her reflection in the water. This fateful vision led to the infamous siege of Chittor. The bronze gates, once part of this pavilion, now reside in the Agra Fort.
Rani Padmini’s exceptional beauty and courage echo through history. When faced with the threat of dishonour by Alauddin Khilji, she chose death over surrender. Her sacrifice became a defining moment in the annals of Chittorgarh.
