A walk down historical lanes

The Bhainsrorgarh Wildlife Sanctuary, declared as a sanctuary in 1983, is located at the convergence of the Chambal and Bemany Rivers. The sanctuary is situated inside the premises of an ancient fort, Bhainsrodgarh Fort. The fort was built by Rawat Lal Singh after he was handed over the property as a legal heir. The palace inside the fort has now been converted into a heritage hotel.

Nestle into more wonders

While in Chittorgarh, consider visiting other nearby attractions such as Menal, a small village located about 90 kilometres from the city on the Chittor-Bundi Road. Menal is a major attraction in Rajasthan because of its ancient temples, traditional architecture, nature, and the rich culture of Rajasthan. Another place to visit is Udaipur, also known as the City of Lakes, which is the crown jewel of Rajasthan. It is surrounded by the beautiful Aravalli Hills in all directions, making this city as lovely as it is.

Best time to visit

The ideal time to visit the Bhainsrorgarh Wildlife Sanctuary is during the winter months, from October to March. The weather during these months is cool and pleasant, making it perfect for wildlife sightings. Avoid visiting from July to September, when heavy rains can make trails slippery and wildlife sightings are less likely.
