Plan your journey to Kuanria

If you are travelling by flight, the nearest airport is the Biju Patnaik International Airport, Bhubaneswar. If you are taking a train, Nayagarh Town is the nearest railway station, 3 kilometres away from the Kuanria Dam. If you are travelling by road, you can reach Kuanria by taking the state highway connected through Bhubaneswar-Nayagarh- Nuagaon. You can take a private vehicle, a cab, or public transport to reach the Kuanria dam.

Kuanria Dam is open for visitors on all seven days. Timings are 9 AM to 5 PM. If you want to catch the best view, pay a visit during sunrise or sunset. No tickets are required for the visit. If you talk about Bhubaneswar, Jagannath Puri, which is just an hour's drive away from Bhubaneswar, is a famous tourist attraction. The best plan would be to tour the entire Bhubaneswar city, covering Kuanria Dam and Jagannath Puri during the Rath Yatra, or the chariot festival. Rath Yatra happens from June- July every year and people especially come to witness it from all over the world. Although it’s heavily crowded, the procession of the lords is a must-watch experience.
