Nature’s bounty of hills, forests, waterfalls and caves

The name 'Lunglei' literally means a rock bridge. Locals attribute the name to a bridge-like rock once discovered in a riverine near Nghasih, a tributary of the river Tlawng. Charming villages nestled among pine meadows dot the untouched stretch of beautiful countryside surrounding Lunglei, the second-largest city in Mizoram.
