A nature lover's paradise in Mizoram

Murlen National Park, nestled within Mizoram's beautiful Champhai district, is an exquisite sanctuary that will captivate tourists with its enchanting landscapes and diverse species of wildlife. Covering over 100 square kilometres, this unspoiled paradise promises both adventure and tranquillity under nature's protective embrace.

There are some very thick vegetation areas in the forest resembling the Amazon region where only about 1% of the sun's rays can penetrate the forest on a sunny day. Some people call the area the ‘losing area of seven fellow-men’ or land of no return.

Murlen National Park offers an abundance of flora and fauna, many rare or endangered species that you won't find elsewhere. Here, you may spot graceful hoolock gibbons scurrying through trees, majestic Himalayan black bears ambling through foliage or an elusive golden langur peeking from behind branches above you.

Birdwatchers will delight in discovering over 150 species of birds living here, such as the amazing peregrine falcon and Blyth's tragopan. Additionally, this park provides sanctuary to over 400 medicinal plant species - making it a treasure trove for nature enthusiasts and researchers.

Embark on a journey of discovery

Guided trekking tours will lead you on an amazing adventure through lush trails filled with exquisite flora and fauna, creating an unforgettable adventure. As you discover nearby villages, you'll gain insight into Mizoram's rich culture and history; becoming immersed with its heartbeat.
