Following Gandhi's lead, they took steps to collect artefacts which reflect traditional way of living through visiting villages across Maharashtra - thus fulfilling his wish. Now this museum stands as testament to that vision; offering visitors an overview of various cultures and architectural styles present across Maharashtra state.
