Legend says Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshwar (Lord Shiva) came together to incarnate as the deity Jyotiba who eventually destroyed the evil Ratnasura; this elevates the temple’s significance further.
Temple is not simply a religious structure but also a living monument of history. First erected by Navji Saya, subsequent reconstruction was conducted by Maharaja Ranoji Shinde of Gwalior in 1730 before finally receiving a renovation by Charles III in the 19th century; thus making this building both visible and tangible for future generations to admire.
