A tale of love also surrounds the Kailasa Temple. Legend has it that a devoted king built this temple overnight, seeking Lord Shiva's help to cure his ailing queen. Miraculously, the temple was completed by morning, healing the queen, and becoming a cherished attraction within the Ellora Caves.
