A journey of restoration and devotion
As you approach the Parvati Temple, a tale of resilience and devotion unfolds. This sacred space has weathered the sands of time but has been lovingly restored to its former glory. Originally, it comprised a sanctum and a porch, a space where pilgrims sought solace and communion with the divine. While the porch has embraced the passage of time, the sanctum's plinth stands steadfast, offering a glimpse into its former grandeur.
Step closer, and a doorway rich in symbolism greets you - a gateway to devotion and spiritual exploration. Adorning the lintel is a Vishnu figure, a nod to the temple's connection with the Vaishnava tradition. Inside the sanctum, the image of Gauri, the divine embodiment of Parvati, stands with her faithful vehicle, the godha (iguana). Allow the soothing sounds of nature and the picturesque surroundings to immerse you in a serene and harmonious atmosphere. Marvel at the exquisite carvings adorning the exterior walls of the temple, depicting scenes from Hindu mythology and daily life, intricately etched with finesse and dedication.
