An oasis of spiritual reflection
The story of the Nava Brindavana goes beyond its historic location. It narrates tales of a rich past and a powerful prophecy. Legend has it that this very land, once part of the legendary Kishkindha kingdom ruled by Sugriva, was destined to become a sacred space. According to the Ramayana, Lord Rama himself prophesied that nine powerful saints, born across different times, would gather here for eternal meditation.
And so, it came to be. The nine Madhva Acharyas, descendants of the renowned Sri Madhwacharya, found their final resting place in the Nava Brindavana. Each saint belonged to one of three esteemed mathas – Sripadaraja Math, Vyasaraja Math, and Raghavendra Math – leaving behind a legacy of spiritual wisdom that continues to inspire generations.
Today, the Nava Brindavana stands as a symbol of this remarkable story. Visitors are drawn to its peaceful atmosphere, shrines, and the powerful aura of the nine saints who continue to watch over this sacred land. As you step into the Nava Brindavana, prepare to be transported by its rich history and mythology.
While entry is completely free, if you wish to participate in special sevas (services) like prayers or offerings, simply inform the Raghvendra Mutt in Anegundi beforehand.
