According to local legend, Guru Nanak Devji visited this area during a devastating famine. While uttering the Sar Kartar, he moved some rubble and a stone aside with his food. Miraculously, a freshwater spring began to flow forth from the laterite mountain peak, providing lifesaving sustenance. Many have come to believe in its curative powers since that encounter, with multiple people reporting ailments being alleviated after drinking this miraculous springwater.
