Commissioned by the king of Barkagarh, Jagannathpur Thakur Ani Nath Shahdeo, in 1691, the temple holds a rich historical legacy. Notably, the grand procession and fair during the 'Rath Yatra' season emerge as the most captivating spectacle associated with the Jagannath Temple. Pilgrims and devotees, hailing from both nearby and distant regions, converge here to witness the magnificent Rath, transporting Lord Jagannath in his divine seat.

Pahari Mandir

Perched atop a hill in Ranchi, the Pahari Mandir stands as a majestic shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. Situated at an elevation of 2140 feet above sea level and 350 feet above ground level, this age-old temple is positioned 8 km from the railway station and 12 km from the airport. To reach the summit, one must ascend a staircase comprising 468 steps. Surya Mandir (Sun Temple)

Giridih's Surya Temple is a picturesque shrine situated in the midst of a lake, devoted to Lord Surya. The temple boasts a unique lotus flower-shaped structure. Within its sacred precincts, a statue of Lord Surya is enshrined, seated on a chariot drawn by seven horses. The temple is also adorned with statues of revered deities, including Lakshmi Narayan, Rama, Sita, Hanuman, Shiva, Parvati, Vedmata Gayatri, Radha, and Krishna. In the past, this enchanting place was known by the names "Sita Ni Chauri" and "Ramkund" in the local vernacular. The Surya Temple not only captivates devotees with its architectural beauty but also serves as a sanctuary for the worship of various divine entities, creating an atmosphere of spiritual reverence by the tranquil waters.

Jain Museum

St. Mary's Cathedral

St. Mary's Cathedral stands as the inaugural church in the ancient history of Ranchi town. Upon stepping into its premises, the cathedral envelops visitors with a profound sense of serenity. Constructed by Jesuit Brother Alfred Lemoine, this monumental Catholic Church, inspired by the Belgian model of the church at Arlon, required three years for its completion. On October 3, 1909, it was inaugurated for worshippers by Major Hurth, the Bishop of Dhaka.
