The Kurukshetra battle, explained!

A lifelike panorama depicting the epic battle of Kurukshetra, with scientific explanations for each event in the war! Where else will you find such wonder but at the Kurukshetra Panorama and Science Centre, a special place where science meets religion!

Just 1.5 kilometers from Kurukshetra railway station, this stunning two-story building houses numerous exhibits and has welcomed millions of visitors till date. It has been established to go beyond the curricula and make science easy and interesting for young people. They do this by using various interactive models, exhibitions, educational programs, and activities all year round.

Come and witness how the rational mind seeks the spiritual and vice versa at the Kurukshetra Panorama and Science Centre!

Inside/outside

Delve deeper with the exhibition here titled India: A Heritage in Science, Technology, and Culture’. It showcases ancient Indian concepts in areas like matter, atom structure, arithmetic, geometry, astronomy, engineering, and medicine through working, interactive displays.

There is also the Dinosaur Enclave, where you'll find life-sized and animated robotic models of dinosaurs and other extinct creatures in their natural habitats. Explore their lifestyles, diets, sizes, and the periods they lived on Earth during your visit.

Explore the building and see how architecturally impressive it is, with tall cylindrical walls adorned with paintings depicting scenes from the Mahabharata. These paintings, standing at 34 feet tall, bring the epic battle to life. The atmosphere inside is enhanced by the sounds of Gita chants and distant war cries, along with lighting effects that create a captivating ambiance.

Outside the center, there's a Science Park where learning becomes fun for both children and adults. The park features aesthetically placed exhibits amidst greenery, providing an enjoyable way to explore scientific concepts.

Discovering beyond 

Near the museum, you can explore various other attractions that offer insight into Haryana's rich culture and heritage. Some places worth visiting nearby include Brahma Sarovar, a large water tank surrounded by temples. Jyotisar, believed to be the spot where Lord Krishna delivered the Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna during the Mahabharata war. Then there is Sannihit Sarovar, another sacred tank believed to be the meeting point of several holy rivers.

Kurukshetra War Memorial is also nearby, commemorating the soldiers who fought in the battles of Kurukshetra and Panipat.
