Monduro's evolution: From local passion to national sensation
Monduro was conceived by a passionate group of MTB enthusiasts in Tawang who formed the Tawang Cycling Association (TCA). It began as a local initiative to inspire youth to embrace cycling, stay healthy, and shun detrimental habits. Over the years, it has grown into a national-level event that captures the imagination of mountain biking enthusiasts from all over India and even Nepal.
The first edition of Monduro in 2021 witnessed participation from 36 riders across the country and Nepal. Since then, the event has gained momentum, drawing more riders and sponsors eager to support this unique venture.
Thrilling days at Monduro: Conquer the trails, conquer yourself
Monduro spans four exhilarating days of mountain biking glory. The event features a mix of Cross Country (XC) and Enduro races, each demanding a unique set of skills. With multiple timed downhill stages and challenging uphill liaisons, Monduro provides the ultimate test for riders.
Riders navigate steep and rocky gardens, cross streams, and meander through Rhododendron-filled jungles and vast green grasslands. Every stage presents a new challenge, and the cumulative time after all stages determines the winner. It's a true test of strength, endurance, and bike-handling skills.
