A garden that invigorates your senses

Amidst the lively urban hustle and bustle of India’s capital city, Delhi, lies a nature lover’s paradise that will evoke all your five senses! A beautiful sanctuary that seamlessly blends human art with nature.

Welcome to the Garden of Five Senses, an enchanting haven sprawling over 20 acres of lush, diverse terrain. Living up to its name, this splendid garden is meticulously designed to invigorate your senses of touch, sight, smell, sound, and taste. It was conceived by the renowned architect Pradeep Sachdeva. This unique space seamlessly blends rocky outcrops and serene plains, creating a tapestry of themed areas, tranquil pools, cascading waterfalls, and an array of sculptures and rock carvings that captivate and inspire.

Of Mughal gardens, fountains and sculptures

As you walk along the spiral pathway, you'll encounter the Khas Bagh, a formal garden inspired by the Mughal style, complete with serene water channels, fragrant shrubs, and beautiful trees. The central axis leads to enchanting fountains, some of which are adorned with fibre optic lighting, creating a magical ambience. Don't miss the captivating sculpture of 'A Fountain Tree' that adds a touch of elegance to the surroundings.

After exploring the garden, take a moment to relax at the food and shopping court nestled away from the bustling heart of the garden. The terraces, thoughtfully furnished with cosy seating, overlook the food court. Wander along the Trail of Fragrance, and you'll be led to a picturesque rocky ridge adorned with a stunning stainless-steel sculpture that exudes joyous energy. Follow the winding paths to discover Neel Bagh, a tranquil oasis featuring a pool of water lilies surrounded by vibrant climbing plants on pergolas. Up above, hundreds of ceramic chimes whisper secrets to the breeze, teasing with their gentle laughter.

A utopia of exotic plants

As you make your way through the garden, you'll be mesmerised by the stunning array of colourful flowers and bushes, creating an enchanting and utopian atmosphere. With nearly 200 exotic plant species, including rare and endangered flowering plants from around the world, the garden is a sight to behold.

Just a short walk away, nestled within the lush wilderness, you'll also discover a charming amphitheatre featuring stone seats and grassy steps, where cultural events and art workshops come to life. To top it off, the garden also boasts a delightful solar area, harnessing the sun's energy to power its enchanting landscape.

Enjoy a guided nature walk

While exploring the garden on your own is fun in itself, you have the option to participate in guided tours called Nature Walk, organised by the management. The tour starts with an introduction and description of the trees and then moves on to the architecture. This includes the boundary walls and the dome-shaped office. The rest of the tour involves admiring the beautiful surroundings and learning about the various species of flowers growing there.
