Visakhapatnam, the city of beaches holds a treasure for cinema lovers as well. The Ramana Studio is one such place where you can spend an entire day and know about filmmaking and post production activities.

The Ramana Studio or the Ramana Naidu Film Studio is a film studio complex of Visakhapatnam that has also become a tourist spot. Suresh Productions, one of the top production companies in India owns and operates the Ramana Studio. The studio was established in 2008 by Dr. D. Ramanaidu who was a famous film producer. The studio represents his passion for films. Dr. Ramanaidu produced 150 films in different languages that made him win the Guinness award.

Spread over 33 acres of land, the Ramana Studio holds state of the art facilities for filmmaking. You will be amazed to witness the facilities for post production and filmmaking. If you are a film lover, this place is a must visit for you. Witness the magic of cinema in the film studio of Visakhapatnam!

Explore to the fullest

There are various activities that you can do at the Ramana Studios. If you are a film lover and want to know what goes behind film making, you are going to fall in love with this place.

Take a tour of the studio. You should first take a tour of the entire studio. Observe various filmmaking equipment, props, costumes, various sets, etc. You can also learn about Suresh Productions and their history. It is better to take a guided tour so you do not miss out on anything. You can shoot your own film at the Ramana Studio! You will often find tourists taking different shots at the film studio. Since you will find different film sets and props, giving a fine shot becomes mandatory! You can choose themes like romance, horror, action, etc. and shoot it on your phone or camera. If you are carrying your own camera, there is an additional fee of INR 50 on the ticket, and if it’s a video camera, the additional fee costs INR 200.

Watch a show at the studio

There is a mini theatre or auditorium at the studio where you can watch a short film. You can enjoy the latest releases or maybe some classics from Suresh Productions. It is always a good idea to watch scenes in a film whose sets are placed just outside the studio! Shop around and buy interesting items. You can also buy souvenirs for your loved ones from shops located in the Ramana Studio. There are items like cups, caps, T-shirts, DVDs, posters of films etc. Food options are also available for you. There are restaurants and cafeterias in the studio where you can have food with your loved ones.
