Where the hills meet the sky

Kailasagiri, a stunning hill station perched atop the majestic hills of Visakhapatnam, is waiting to steal your heart and take your breath away. As you make your way up the winding roads, you'll feel like you're leaving the hustle and bustle of the city behind and entering a whole new world. With every turn, the views get more and more spectacular, until you finally reach the top and are greeted by a sight that will leave you speechless.

Kailasagiri is a place that has earned the title of "Best Tourist Spot" by the Government of Andhra Pradesh in 2003. And it's easy to see why! The lush greenery, the cool breeze, and the panoramic views of the ocean make it a paradise for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.

But that's not all – Kailasagiri is also a place of great spiritual significance. The hill is named after Lord Shiva, and there are several temples and shrines dedicated to him throughout the park. As you explore the winding paths and take in the stunning vistas, you'll feel a sense of peace and serenity wash over you.

Whether you're looking for a place to relax and unwind, or an adventure that will get your heart racing, Kailasagiri has something for everyone.

Iconic symbols of the hills

The hill is home to two iconic statues that have become symbols of Visakhapatnam's cultural heritage. The towering Shiva-Parvati statue, standing at an impressive 40 feet tall, depicts the divine couple in a loving embrace.

The Shanku Chakra Namam statue, a 20-foot-tall representation of Lord Vishnu's sacred conch shell and discus, exudes a sense of spiritual serenity. As you stand in front of these magnificent works of art, you can't help but feel a connection to something greater than yourself.

A thrilling ride to remember

The Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA) created this wonderful park with access to the hilltop is excellent via road, walkway, and ropeway. There are two pedestrian stairways. One unique feature is the ropeway that runs from the base of the hill to Kailasagiri.

Kailasagiri offers an unforgettable experience through its ropeway ride. Step into the cable car and prepare to soar above the lush green hills, taking in the beautiful views from a whole new perspective.
